Africa's Hunters 202: Brothers in Arms
Predator vs. Prey
•
48m
The Nsefu Pride of lions lives on the banks of the Luangwa River in Zambia. Experienced lionesses bring up a family of youngsters. Seven new cubs are born into the wet season – not the easiest time. The valley is lush with new growth - antelope and buffalo are spread
far and wide through the valley, away from the river, making them harder to find. Each of the cubs has a different character. One is a Dreamer, always in his own world. The mother lionesses will have their work cut out keeping the boisterous youngsters alive. Nights are the hardest – other predators are at large, and neither leopards nor hyenas would hesitate to kill a lion cub given half a chance.
