The story of a young male hyena, called Mizumu, embarking on the most challenging journey of his life; to find a new clan. As the son of an alpha female, Mizumu’s had a privileged childhood, but when his status drops at adolescence he is rejected by his
mother. Cast out into a dangerous world he must use his intelligence and courage to overcome the threat of charging hippos, hungry crocodiles, a pack of wild dogs and a hyena-eating leopard. Alone, he struggles to hunt, faces starvation and must scavenge to survive. His coming of age adventure leads him into unknown territory and new landscapes where he encounters the fiercesome Chimbwe Clan and bravely makes his introductions.
